Our client, an e-commerce company located in Milwaukee is seeking a Dev Ops. The ideal candidate must have a strong technical background working on development e-commerce projects and experience managing day to day e-commerce activities. They should be highly organized and proactive to participate with cross functional teams in a dynamic fast paced environment. They should possess an acute attention to detail, and the dedication to see projects through from start to finish. They should be thorough and detailed with documentation and communication, efficient enough to meet deadlines and exude a collaborative attitude in all situations.

The job duties will include:

  • Lead and collaborate with cross functional and cross organizational teams to define, design and build web eCommerce initiatives and features
  • Develop detailed project, operational, resource and risk plans
  • Lead development projects and guide teams through to successful delivery
  • Act as main point of contact for project issues, architecture, and delivery
  • Provide subject matter expertise on proper design of e-commerce site functionality, scalability, and operational capabilities
  • Track and report project status, risks and mitigation plans to senior management
  • Work with scrum master and PMO to effectively build resource plans that can deliver

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field and/or demonstrated capability through previous experience and education to perform job responsibilities
  • Minimum 3-5 years managing complex ecommerce projects or development teams. Ideally large-scale eCommerce projects
  • Experience deploying Magento Version 1 and 2, Elastic Search, LAMP stack, MySQL, AWS
  • Advanced knowledge PHP (using MVC frameworks), OO Application Development, MySQL, cache or no SQL data storage and Web Services
  • Experience with Web Content Management applications such as Aquia, Sitecore, SDL WCM in ecommerce environments
  • Experience in integration Ecommerce, Web Content Management and Advanced Search Technologies and third party APIs (OMS, 3PL, PIM, CRM, ERP, WMS, ESP, …)
  • Experience and solid understanding of ecommerce systems and processes (Browse to cart, checkout to order fulfillment)
  • Architecture, programming and database experience in an ecommerce environment
  • Ideally, this person has been in an ecommerce architect position and has moved into or looking to take the next step in management of similar projects and activities
  • Highly proficient in developing project schedules
  • Ability and desire to get deep into problem situations and work to resolve them
  • Experience with JIRA, GIT, Confluence, MSOffice
  • Strong proficiency with task sequencing, dependencies and third party vendor responsibilities for eCommerce platform implementation projects
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills
  • Possess strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Time management and organization skills
